How We Help

Support for care homes, schools, young people and community groups.

Every session is shaped around the people taking part, with a focus on emotional wellbeing, communication, confidence and calm.

Care Home Wellbeing Visits

Gentle pony visits can bring comfort, conversation and sensory engagement to residents, including people living with dementia or experiencing loneliness.

Schools & Young People

Equine-assisted learning sessions can support confidence, self-worth, communication and emotional regulation in a calm outdoor setting.

Community Outreach

Outreach sessions bring ponies and dogs to local groups and organisations, helping people access meaningful wellbeing activities in the community.

Working With Local Authorities & Care Settings

We welcome enquiries from residential care homes, local authorities, social workers and commissioning teams. Our sessions are designed to support the emotional health, resilience and development of looked after children and young people, delivered in a calm, secure, staffed yard that quickly becomes a familiar and trusted environment.

Why Animals?

Small moments can make a big difference.

Time with animals can help people slow down, feel more present and connect in a way that feels natural and non-pressured.

For some people, a quiet moment brushing a pony, sitting with a dog or simply watching an animal nearby can create comfort, joy and calm.

More About Our Animal-Assisted Wellbeing Sessions

What We Bring

We bring calm, hands-on connection with ponies and therapy dogs directly to schools, care homes, hospitals, and health settings across Staffordshire. There is no travel required for the people I visit.

Each session is built around real, gentle interaction: grooming, leading, quiet touch, and simply being present with an animal who asks nothing in return. For many people like those living with dementia, children with SEMH or EHCP needs, patients in hospital, or residents in care, this kind of unhurried connection can reach places conversation alone can't.

  • Activities tailored to the setting and the individual. From simple grooming and stroking to short in-hand walks

Delivered with care

With over a decade of experience delivering animal-assisted wellbeing sessions at Bishton Riding Centre, We now bring that same calm, practised approach directly to schools, care homes, hospitals, and health settings through my outreach service. We understand how ponies and therapy dogs can support people through anxiety, low mood, dementia, rekindling treasured memories and additional needs and we're applying that experience to help settings bring these benefits to people who can't easily travel to us. Every visit is fully insured and risk-assessed, with my ponies and dogs specifically chosen and prepared for this kind of gentle, public-facing work.
